XXXtreme Lightning Roulette: Rules and Our Data

XXXtreme Lightning Roulette keeps everything a roulette player recognises and pushes the multiplier idea further than the original Lightning Roulette. More numbers can be struck, struck numbers can be struck again, and the price is paid by every straight-up bet that lands on an unstruck number. This guide sets out the rules that independent sources agree on, then uses our own records to show what that design looked like over a few days of real play.

The rules, step by step

The wheel is single-zero with pockets 0 to 36. All the lightning action concerns straight-up bets.

Lightning. When betting closes, one to five numbers are struck and each receives a multiplier from 50x to 500x.

Chain Lightning. On some rounds the strike continues and adds further numbers with their own multipliers. Sources agree the total can reach ten numbers in a round.

Double Strike. A second strike can hit a number that already carries a multiplier and lift it to somewhere between 600x and 2,000x. According to sources, regular multipliers go up to 500x; 600x and above belong to Double Strike; the maximum is 2,000x.

The cost. A winning straight-up bet on a number that was not struck pays 19 to 1. For comparison, it is 29 to 1 in Lightning Roulette and 35 to 1 at a regular European table.

The same bet at three tables

Picture a 10-unit straight-up bet that wins on a number nobody struck. A regular European table pays 350 units of profit, Lightning Roulette pays 290 and XXXtreme pays 190. If the same number had been lifted to 1,000x by a Double Strike, the profit would be 10,000 units. Losing looks identical everywhere: the ball lands elsewhere and the 10 units are gone. The payout structures differ: XXXtreme pays less on ordinary hits and more on rare multiplied ones.

Our numbers

For every spin we store the multiplier attached to the winning number: 19x if the number was not struck, the lightning value if it was. Over 64 hours with data (about three days) we have that value for 4,213 spins.

The winning number had been struck in 465 spins (11.0%), about one spin in nine. In Lightning Roulette, over the same hours of multiplier records, the share was 7.2%. If the ball is equally likely to land in each of the 37 pockets, 11.0% corresponds to roughly four struck numbers per spin on average (0.110 × 37). That may indicate Chain Lightning adds numbers fairly often; this is only an interpretation of our own data, not an official average.

Most hits were modest by this game's standards: 100x was the most common value (230 spins), followed by 50x (132). We saw 42 values of 600x and above (Double Strike):

The 2,000x maximum did not appear at all in this window; sources do not say how often it lands.

Calculation: Source: our own database (veri.db, opened read-only). Multipliers from mult_hourly, 64 hours with data (about three days), 4,213 spins with a stored value; results from agg_hourly, 72 hours with data, 4,769 spins. The Lightning Roulette comparison uses the same method and the same hours on that game's data. Code: docs/makaleler/hesap/xxxtreme-lightning-roulette-rehberi.py. A short sample: treat the gap between the two games as indicative, not settled.

Which version suits which player?

Both versions apply the lightning features to straight-up bets only, according to Evolution's official page. The choice only matters for straight-up players:

  • Lightning Roulette pays 29:1 on ordinary hits and up to 500x on struck numbers.
  • XXXtreme pays 19:1 on ordinary hits and can reach 2,000x; in our records, struck numbers won more often (11.0% vs 7.2%).

The XXXtreme version swings harder. Over a short session that tends to mean a balance falling steadily between occasional large jumps. Neither table offers a way around the house edge.

Current results and recorded highs are on the XXXtreme Lightning Roulette page, and our guide to the original game is “Lightning Roulette: Lucky Numbers, 29:1 and Our Data”. For the largest multipliers across every game we follow, see big wins.

Before you play

In our records a result of 1,000x or more came roughly once every 470 spins (9 times in 4,213). Plan your budget around that, not around the headline. Practical ways to set and keep a limit are in “Setting Limits: A Practical Guide to Safer Play”.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Chain Lightning and Double Strike?

According to sources, Chain Lightning adds more multiplied numbers, up to ten in total, while Double Strike raises a number that already has a multiplier to between 600x and 2,000x.

What does an ordinary straight-up win pay?

Sources agree on 19 to 1, compared with 29 to 1 in Lightning Roulette and 35 to 1 in standard European roulette.

How often did we see 1,000x or more?

Nine times in 4,213 spins over about three days (eight at 1,000x, one at 1,500x). That is a description of the past, and each spin is independent.
